Adding an RSS feed to a
website that is updated with content periodically
This is my
Example Page using FeedForAll
I spent some time figuring out how to use
FeedForAll to create an RSS feed for my website and to create the
automatically updated html page that is associated with the it. This test page was figuring out
how to use it to post audio files to my site this way, for
whatever purpose: podcasts, class audios, etc. Of course, you
don't have to post audio/video with your text, I was just seeing how that
would be done and how I could make it look.
They could be newsletter articles,
technical updates, tips, calendar of events, company news,
product or service announcement, industry news, or any other
content that gets updated periodically. They can include
pictures, links, etc. Similar to a blog really.
The primary goal was to get these posts to
use my own website template for complete integration into my
website theme and style. I really feel that many clients
would want this type of integration into their own websites for
a variety of uses.
You'll also notice that this page is RSS
subscribe-able. I did
not add this page to my navigation, otherwise you would be
seeing navigation buttons to the rest of my website on the left,
just like any other page on my site.
Caution, Techno-speak to follow: The information in
Episodes 1,2, and 3 was not posted or modified via this php page
you're looking at. It is updated via a linked xml file (with the
help of FeedForAll, but it can be modified manually). This php
page is linked to both the associated html page AND the
associated xml page. That's how the changing information gets
displayed and looks the way it does. It pulls the information
from both places in order to create what you see here.

Episode 2 - This is a Test podcast episode from Andrea. Look at the Bond Market
This is where the show notes for my test podcast episode would be.
Hate being the party pooper, but I think it’s important to remind people that when interest rates start to creep up, that’s usually a sign that the party in the stock market may be taking a pause, or even coming to a close.

Everything above this is the updated content, and
everything below is where any static information on your page
could go. This shows you that you can put the updated
information anywhere on your page and still have static
information as well.
