These packages are good for brand new WordPress sites and for existing WordPress sites. There are 2 options for buying your WordPress package. There is a single payment option, and a 2-payment option. The single payment option offers the best pricing.
Content Migration: If we are migrating an HTML website to this WordPress site, these WordPress packages come with migrating page content for up to 6 pages, with options to upgrade content migration for more pages if needed.
What we do for you during content migration means that the content on your existing website page is copied over (including any meta tag info you have in place) to the corresponding page in your WordPress site AND the htaccess file is updated with SEO-friendly 301 redirects to tell the browsers what to do and where to send visitors trying to go to your old urls. You don’t want to leave any of your old web pages just out there hanging around without having a new place in your WordPress site to point them to. Even if there won’t be a corresponding new page in WordPress for them, you’ll want to point those old urls to your home page (or another page) in WordPress to keep everything tidy and to help people find your new pages. Make sense? Please note that these packages DO NOT include modifying your content in any way. It will be up to you to either clean up or alter your content before or after we bring it over to your new WordPress site. Don’t worry. We’ll show you how to do that during training.

Optional – Get articles and pages written for you: Additional options include “Done For You” Content Packs for both Primary Pages and for Blog Posts. No need to do your own writing during this time when you already have so much going on. Ideal if you want to launch your website hitting the ground running and you don’t already have much in the way of content yet. Standard and SEO optimized content available.

Selecting a WordPress theme: When it comes to selecting a theme for your WordPress website, there are many choices. WordPress does come with a default theme, and in many cases it will be just what you need. Simple and easy to use. However, if you are looking for something with more design and layout options, then I recommend a premium theme. These are very affordable and all come with a range of support available.
Without a doubt, this can be the most difficult choice.
My recommended places to begin looking for premium themes are at:
- Woothemes (two favorites are Canvas and Simplicity)
- iThemes (I really like the Flexx themes here)
- StudioPress
- Elegant Themes
- DIYthemes (home of the Thesis theme)
- Premium WordPress Themes (a site that highlights many premium theme websites)

If there is something that you want to include in the WordPress project that is not listed in the packages, we can add it for an additional charge upon further discussion of the details. We would discount the time based upon the package you’re purchasing. In other words, you’re not going to be charged our standard hourly rate if you want some extra features in your WordPress site.
We do not do custom WordPress programming, however most premium themes offer many customization options built into it. We can customize the look of your website dependent on the limitations of your theme selected.
