Podcast / Teleseminar / Audio Book Editing. Digital Video Editing

• Audio editing – Ideas: teleseminars, audio books, podcasts, interviews.  Teaser audio clips are a great way to promote an item you want to sell. You send me the audio file to edit.  I don’t provide the recording environment, but can recommend some options.

• Video editing – Put your video interviews or seminars on your website, full or teaser clips. You send me the digital video file to edit (in some cases I can pull a video from a DVD format, but it’s not always successful and would need to send to 3rd party)
  

• Mix with music – we have a great music selection available to choose from. Listen to these collections from www.StudioCutz.com. Each collection below has approximately 10 songs:

You’re not required to use what we have.

• Add ID3 tags – for better identification and podcast information.  Include your name and podcast image for branding.

• Upload to existing feed, blog, or site* (or have us send it to your assistant to take care of the rest of the process)

• Update your blog with new podcast text, notes, and links to resources

• Promotion strategies – which includes, but definitely not limited to, submitting to over 100 podcast directories and RSS search engines, including iTunes. Strategies on using social media to promote your podcast.

• Monitor and report on client feedback

If you’re looking for a special look, then our hourly rate applies. Package includes two 150×150 AND two 300×300 images (both in .jpg and .png format), all of the same design.  For this affordable package you provide: a logo, and/or a picture of yourself or a product, special text you want added, and the color and/or image you would like for the background.

Rate: Standard hourly rate of $49, unless stated otherwise. All rates listed are based on US dollars.

• *Need to stay within a monthly budget? Here’s an idea – we can work as a team to get your audios edited. You tell me to only spend x number of hours on something, or do “light” editing. I can get it to a point and you can finish with some final editing. Remember, I’m here to help you. Use me to whatever extent is affordable for you.

Professional-level Audio Editing

We remove background noise, level out the sound (so everyone can be heard – very important on teleconference recordings with multiple participants), remove all stuttering, ums, ahs, repeated words and phrases, to create a streamlined audio product. These Professional-level editing services cost $49/hr. with a 15 minute minimum. Includes ID3 tags.

Note: Multi-segment podcasts/audios take longer to put together.

A one to three person audio recording usually takes approximately 4 times the length of the raw recording. For example, if you have a 20 minute recording, it will take approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to edit it, including mixing it with music.

For recordings with more than 3 people, the editing time increases to a minimum of 4-5 times* the length of the raw recording. A 1 hour recording with 4 or more people will normally take 4-5 hours to edit, including mixing music. *unless it’s already very clean of mistakes.

This level of editing is recommended for businesses that want to have as clean a product as possible, especially if you will be selling them.

Note: Noise happening in the background of your audio at the same time you are talking, such as: paper shuffling, dog barking, phone ringing, other person talking, or a car horn, cannot be removed. If it happens when there is no talking, this can and will be removed. It’s best to record your audio in a quiet place, or pause the recording, get your bearings, and start recording again, but start from the content you know that was interrupted. Then we’ll take out the bad section and you’ll never know it was there.

If you’re recording and you want me to cut out a section, simply say something like this during the recording, “Andrea, I want to cut that part out and start again from here”. Some people say “stop tape” and “start tape” as they are recording to indicate the section they want removed and replaced with what’s coming up. Feel free to communicate what you want during the recording, almost like dictating some instructions mixed in with what will be kept.

Also note that podcasts using a phone call-in line may not be as clear as if you recorded using recording software on your computer, and can sometimes result in lots of pops and clicks that are extremely difficult to remove or diminish. Please note that with teleseminars or recordings done using a phone will often have a background hiss behind the talking that cannot be removed. The hiss between talking can be removed, just not what you hear as talking occurs. Attempting to remove the hiss behind the talking sometimes creates a warbled effect on the entire audio.

For clearer-sounding audio there are several free products for recording on your computer using a mic, speakers, or headset for both the PC and the Mac (WavePad – PC, Audacity – PC and Mac, and Garageband – Mac, which sometimes comes free with your Mac.

Super-economical Audio Editing

Great for budget-minded folks, we offer these basic editing services, which simply includes creating a starting and ending point for the audio, removing background noise (a hiss or hum), leveling out the sound, mixing in music, and no ID3 tags. We do not edit any of the content (ums, ahs, deep breaths, etc.), and which means I’m not listening to the audio at all other than to see if any hiss or hum is gone. A no-music project would be $15, and a with-music project would be $20,  regardless of the length of the audio.

Please note that with teleseminars or recordings done using a phone will often have a background hiss behind the talking that cannot be removed. The hiss between talking can be removed, just not what you hear as talking occurs. Attempting to remove the hiss behind the talking sometimes creates a warbled effect on the entire audio.

Multi-segment podcasts/audios take longer to put together and cannot be done under Super-economical Audio Editing.

Video Editing Services

All videos can be output in a variety of formats, such as: Flash, Windows Media, QuickTime, AVI, RealMedia, iPod/iTunes specialized optimized format. We can even provide an audio only mp3 file for you.
Resulting videos can be produced for the internet/intranet, CD, or DVD.

Services can include the following, depending on your needs:

• Editing out extraneous segments
• Add Title and End clips
• Mixing in music
• Adding callouts, transitions, banners, logos, insert pictures
• Upload to your Screencast.com account or other website
• Add Flash Quizzes and Surveys to your videos

Convert PowerPoint presentations to Video

Take your PowerPoint presentations and convert them to videos. We can also do the narration if you provide the notes.

The time it takes to edit and produce a video can vary greatly and will depend on the depth of editing and what services listed above you wish to include in your video. The production of the same video into multiple formats WILL increase the project time.

If this is your first time using us, please include your business information and a way I can contact you right away if I have any pressing questions about the project. Not having this information may cause a delay in getting this project back to you in a timely manner, and I certainly don’t want that to happen.

Also, if this is our first time working on a project for you, you’ll be required to pay for the finished product before we send it back to you. We’ll invoice you once done, and when we receive payment we’ll send you the file back right away. If you’re happy with our work and want to establish a working relationship with us, we’ll send you a Work for Hire agreement, a credit card authorization form, and we can bill you at the end of each month.
