My Social Media Marketing services are all about teaming up with you to use these new internet-based communication tools.
Some ways I can participate on the social sites on your behalf are:
- Announcing your new products, services, events.
- Post a series of how-to’s or other tips that you provide.
- Post polls and surveys, and monitor results.
- Linking to your blog posts.
- Research and identify industry-related online content and other valuable resources, and link to them on your social sites.
- Accepting/denying friend requests.
- Monitor posts on your Facebook Page Wall for conversations you need to respond to, and remove any spam comments.
- Looking for ideal connections in your target audience and requesting the connections.
- Search for and keep you informed of new features and functionality in the social sites you participate in.
- Watching the social streams for your name or industry keywords, business opportunities, etc.
- Updating your social pages with your fresh images and videos.
- Implementing engagement strategies, such as contests. Monitor and track results.
If you’re looking for someone who really gets the rules of engagement in social media, and who understand how to translate that to business success, then I am a good fit for your project.
I will guide you and provide ideas on how your specific type of business can add value to the social networks you’ve chosen to participate in. I help you to “connect the dots” on how your specific business can utilize social sites to your greatest advantage.
Social media relationships don’t replace solid marketing strategy — they amplify it.
Opportunities abound!
With social media outreach, you have a tremendous opportunity to help people make decisions about the products they choose. Your content strategy needs to focus on helping the “fence-sitters” choose you. Use the opportunity to change people’s hearts, minds, and actions. Social Media provides you with an easy opportunity to start listening to your prospects and customers.
If you’re looking to social networks as a place to sell something, think of a social media campaign this way: Successful “selling” with social media is about the “two people getting to know each other and starting up a conversation that might go somewhere” kind of selling. When people see you more, they like you more. Familiarity breeds likeability. Especially if you’re seen as giving them value or good content or information. Social networks are the platform you can use to provide that value and begin to build those important foundational relationships. Givers gain.
Once you get your expectations in line with how a social marketing campaign works, you’ll be much less frustrated AND much more relaxed in what you’re doing and how this can work for you.
Does this type of marketing resonate with you? Do you feel that Social Media Marketing is for you and that your business is ready to join the
Social Media experience?
If your service or product is strong and provides great value to your clients, then social media is the perfect place for you to connect with people, cultivate relationships, and introduce your passion to an audience that values you. It is important to remember that you’ll want to dedicate some time daily/weekly to participate on your social networks yourself. Be prepared to engage with others.
Get Started with your Social Media Marketing Campaign by completing the Social Marketing Project form.
Brand new clients should also complete the New Client form, so I can get a better “birds-eye” view of your business needs.
The lowdown on using social networks to sell your product or service and how to prepare:
Be real in your expectations. Don’t expect your bottom line sales numbers to go through the roof once you begin connecting on social networks. Relationship marketing takes time. For this to work for you, you have to truly believe in it as a long-term strategy. You have to understand that the social networks are a place for people to get to know you. You have to understand that this is not the place for the “let’s talk so I can sell you something” message.
When your newly created social connections come to your website, what are they greeted with? Will your online presence make a good first impression? Credibility is important. Visitors to your website will sum up in a few seconds if you are someone they might want to do business with.
What is the sales process that social media leads are being put through? If social media lead conversions are lower than expected for a longer time than you plan, you might find that you need to work on building a better sales process for social media leads. Dig into your sales funnel if you think your lead generation efforts are not producing. Leads from social networking sites are used to engaging with content, not traditional landing pages. Leads from social networking sites take longer to mature. Do you have a sales and marketing process that supports this type of lead? It’s important that you’ve made your website as pleasant and helpful a place as possible before you begin a social media marketing campaign, otherwise, you can easily lose opportunities to further build these relationships.
Get all your ducks lined up and in a row to make it a great experience for everyone.

So you know other ways I can help, here are just some options for ongoing actions in the Social Networks, Forums, and Blogs
- Article submissions
- Repurpose existing content – Ideas: articles can be turned into ebooks, autoresponder-delivered ecourses, other articles for content-sharing sites, blog posts. Videos can be transcribed and have audios made, they can be compiled into teaser videos and teaser audios. Video transcriptions can become part of ebooks and blog posts. Ongoing teaser videos and audios for paid products can become a podcast series, which can be submitted to podcast directories for even more reach. Teaser videos and audios can (and should) have branded marketing intros/outros and calls to action, or new service/product announcements. The podcast can be delivered via the blog and include a summary of what is included, which provides text content for the search engines.
- RSS Pinging, Tweet, Facebook links, StumbleUpon, Digg, and other social bookmarking actions each time a blog post, article, video, and audio is posted.
- Keyword or buzzword monitoring – Watching the social streams for your name or industry keywords and spotting business opportunities
- Competition monitoring – see what your competition is doing on social networks
- Reputation management – watch for your name and report on any negative or positive conversations
- Announcing new products, services, events
- Accepting/denying friend requests
- Checking emails and notifications and identifying important items for your follow-up
- Looking for ideal connections in your target audience and requesting the connections
- Search for and keep you informed of new features and functionality in the social sites you participate in
- Posting content and podcast media to the blog
