Thanks for the advice here- there's some useful tips that I'll definitely be taking on board. It's true that Youtube presents a fantastic resource, but must be used in the right way to benefit from all that it offers. I think that Michael's got the right idea- there's a certain amount of trial and error on the road to success. It's vital to be open to new possibilities in marketing and to give them a go if there's a chance that you could gain from them. All businesses are individual so there's no hard and fast rule for what works; it's more of a case of finding what works well for you. Although effective marketing on Youtube may take time to perfect, it's certainly an endeavour that's worth the effort. As Michael says, it offers up a huge potential market so any business would be foolish not to capitalise on this.

Great article on YouTube. I have been using YouTube for different marketing methods now for the past 6 months with mixed success. I am always testing new ideas and have found one that uses celebrity videos that worked well for awhile until everyone else discovered it.

I was told that YouTube is now the 2nd or 3rd most used search engine so for anyone who has a product they are trying to sale you do not want to miss out on the power of YouTube.
