Rank #1 on Google and Make Sales using a Business Blog
ByStill not sure if having a business blog is all it’s cracked up to be? Think again. It is an effective way to market your business, services, and products. Just don’t use it as a hard-sell strategy. You have to be willing to give a little (information) to get a little (or a lot of sales).
I thought I would share this real-life event with you.
This morning I posted a new article on my blog/podcast site, “Top 20 Ways To Use SharePoint Effectively”.
A special thanks to Karen Reddick of The Red Pen Editor for helping me to re-write this article. I didn’t want to post duplicate content from a similar article that I did on the same subject in a different location. BTW, she’s great to help you repurpose your material.
Anyway, I did an audio podcast on the topic and included it with the blog post, and in the audio I mentioned a special coupon for my SharePoint training video course but they would need to come to the blog site to get it. This is especially crucial for those that subscribe to the podcast, but don’t get around to visiting the website that it’s posted on. About 90% of my podcast listeners come from iTunes.
The blog post was picked up by Google within a few hours of being posted. I’ve received several sales from it so far today.

There are of course many models of laptop computer on the market, from tiny ultra-portable notebooks that weigh only a couple of pounds to large, sturdy (and very heavy) models equipped with 17″ screens, full size keyboards and more. With so many choices it can be hard to know what to look for and just as hard to find the notebook or laptop that truly represents good value for the money.
If you have been trying to decide between a full size laptop and one of those ultra-lightweight notebooks you are certainly not alone. Many computer users are struck by the incredible lightness of these new portable notebooks, and they may be wondering if these notebooks can really replace larger and bulkier machines. These ultra-lightweight notebooks are certainly much easier to… Continue reading the rest of this article...

The Apple iPhone is more than just a phone. It’s a mobile computing platform and an Internet gateway that allows its user to do things on the go with an ease that has historically been relegated to the desktop computer. We can use social media sites like Facebook, or participate in microblogging on Twitter; we can use it as a tool to find restaurants and read reviews, find directions to those restaurants, and get recommendations on what to order there. These are all commonly discussed capabilities of the device - but people often don’t think about shopping as a mobile activity.
The darling of the internet shopping crowd, Amazon, provides a free application in the App store for shopping on their site. It’s fast, full-featured, and dangerous - it supports one-click… Continue reading the rest of this article...
