This client/author had decided it was time to jump into the Kindle ebook revolution. I took his original book cover and completely redid it with a new look and more visual appeal. We also changed the name of his ebook with an enhanced title and subtitle to capture the essence of what his book is about and who his target audience is – and we restructured the title to include an emotion-driven keyword phrase “Rediscover Your Joy” to tap into an emotional space for potential readers. The original ebook title was simply “Bicycles and Cycling“.
Then I reformatted his Word document to make it Kindle-friendly and converted it to a Kindle version file. We uploaded the ebook and cover to Kindle’s ebook store using the client’s Kindle Direct Publishing self-publishing dashboard, making sure to identify and use keywords that were already being searched on at Amazon. Easy-peasy.
Because he wanted to handle the book marketing element himself, I provided him with strategies and a detailed checklist/worksheets on where to go and what to do as his next steps.
What a fun project!
