The Small Business Podcast Directory is a categorized directory of internet radio shows (or more popularly known as podcasts), plus articles and forums that provide information for Small Businesses. Our goal is to provide a place where Small Businesses come to hear podcasts about all things beneficial to small businesses, such as: marketing, business productivity, tips and techniques, business ideas, inspiration, business planning and goals, small business accounting and tax information, and much more.
A Podcast Directory that is a cut above. “Not Another Podcast Directory!” you say? What’s so special about this podcast directory?
This directory is also designed with the business owner in mind.
What we have created is a place for Podcasters to post up to three (3) offers on their Podcast Home Page at no charge, giving their website, products and/or services an additional venue to expand their online marketing reach. It’s like a mini-website for your company or podcast sponsor information. This is just our way of supporting you and your business.
Each podcaster gets their own blog posting that we’ll set up about their podcast with a description and link back to their business website (if provided), providing additional exposure to the search engines. See this example
We also give Podcasters the opportunity to triple their visibility by including their podcasts in the Directory’s Network Feed because we submitted the feed as a separate podcast to other podcast directories. This is the equivalent of being placed on an internet radio station for a particular niche market. These Podcasters are also guaranteed front page placement for their new shows, and rotating placement of their photo and bio on the front page of the directory.

The Small Business Podcast Directory Network upgrade price is $5 a month as an introductory price through February 2007. Those that upgrade at this price will always be at this price as long as they keep their subscription. The upgrade price to be part of the Directory Network starting March 2007 will be $10 a month.
Not everyone who starts a podcast continues podcasting. This means that when you search for podcasts in large directories, you have to sift through a lot of inactive podcasts before you find current ones. Our directory only features shows that are current and active. We have built in an automatic function that notifies Podcasters that have not posted new shows in 7 weeks — that their podcast will be removed from the directory unless they post a new show in 1 week, and then deletes inactive shows at the 8 week mark.
The brainchild of Penny Haynes, the Small Business Podcast Directory is just one of a series of niche-market directories aimed at offering not only a place for podcasters to submit their niche podcasts, but as a podcasters network as well.
