Overcoming Obstacles in the Way of Aspirations
ByWe all have our aspirations listed in our hearts. Some of the brave ones among us actually do something in order to reach those aspirations, while most others simply sit back and try finding a way of not to do it. It is good to dream. Without dreams there would be no hopes. Without hopes we would not aspire. And without aspirations there would be no accomplishments.
However, it is important to work towards these aspirations. Otherwise they are useless. The most common deterrent to an aspiration is fear. If you fear the difficulty associated with the task of accomplishing it then you have lost before you have started. Although a trial and error method might take time to reap benefits, it is the best way to start off.
Don’t push back the schedule everyday. Procrastination kills the most solid dreams in people. If you don’t feel like doing something today, and you think you will want to do it tomorrow, you should know that you won’t feel like doing it tomorrow either. And in the end, you will never end up doing it. Therefore, do what needs to be done right now.
Don’t be pessimistic about the results of your work. It is not always necessary to win. But if you do not try at all, you will have failed for sure. Since the probability is the same in case of doing and not doing something, you might as well do it and face your fears and give yourself the chance to succeed.
Sometimes fear has the ability to make people do things they never thought they could. But other than the initial push, fear does not have the tenacity to make you keep going at it in case of failure. In order to conquer fear you need to continue trying till you succeed. Be courageous and take examples of people who never gave up.
Sometimes you are not enough to make you do something. Therefore, take help from family and friends who will push you hard enough to make you put in effort to accomplish tasks that you have been procrastinating for a long time.
Sometimes when the path to a goal is too long we tend to lose focus and interest in it. Therefore, we have the tendency to give up before reaching the end. However, the trick to overcome this is to look at the path from a different point of view. It also helps when you talk to others who might be able to show you a fresh reason as to why you should continue doing it.
If you are constantly thinking of reasons as to why you will fail in the task at hand, think of the reasons as to why you will succeed in it simultaneously. Say both of them out loud one after another and hear them yourself.
Every goal has hurdles before it to be overcome. Motivation and hard work gets you to the end most of the time.
