In addition for this, I use the socialmarker site to submit urls for the social bookmarking. And I guess this site is effective also. But, it must also consider that too much post may your submission be banned or it may spam you. This may be no good for the reputation of your site. But, aside from social bookmarking submission, you can also do directory submission and link building to gain more traffic to your site and achieve your goal to be on the top.
