Just wanted to share my latest joy with you. My website finally reached it’s first 10,000 visitor per month mark and I’m overjoyed!!
It wasn’t anything that happened quickly or because of a fluke spike of traffic from Digg. It was gradual growth increasing steadily each and every month. I hadn’t even been keeping a close eye on the progress until May 2010. When I got into Google Analytics and discovered I was gaining about 800 new visitors every month, I was thrilled. It may not compare with the heavy-hitters out there in internet land, but I’m tickled pink. 
It is the result of a combination of 3 things:
- Consistent fresh content that people found valuable (hopefully)
- Solid on-page SEO and Social Media Optimization strategy
- Referrals from friends, clients, and colleagues
It’s amazing to see how all the hard work has paid off, both in exposure and in increased business.
